Executed projects:

Purchase of the Bibles

This project covered purchase of 214 Bibles in french and an ethnic language Moore. Christians form the churches we've visited, both catholics and protestants, read God's Word and point to the need of preaching the gospel all around Sahel (subsaharian area). We've seen only a few very worn out copies of the Bible. The other, most commonly used language in this area, apart form french, is Moore.

Financing the birth certificates

Burkina Faso, Pobe-Mengao perish, villages: Bourgé, Boui-Boui, Cissé, Débéré, Donombéné, Gargaboulé, Gaskindé, Kaboret, Loura, Mamassirou, Mentao, Niamanga, Noufoundou, Ouré, Pobe-Mengao

This project concerns fifth graders in all the Pobe-Mengao region. Due to prevalent poverty, most of the kids doesn't have a birth certificate (they're not even on any of the state records) and without this document the kids are not even admitted to the primary school final egzam (after sixth grade), therefore they can't continue their studies.

Student's indispensables

Burkina Faso, Pobe-Mengao perish

• We've finances purchase of textbooks and other school accessories.

We expect, that granting acces to schools will cause the increase of number of people with basic school abilities like reading, writing or calculus among the poorest and make the chances even for all the kids.

Our visit in the school made us to realize how huge are the problems of the education system and how enormous are their needs. Lack of basic school accessories, notebooks, textbooks and writing tools and very poor social conditions make kids to study in gloomy, unlit classrooms (one room has to accommodate even 120 students). Even four kids has to sit behind one old, uncomfortable desk, and one of the schools has only 5 teachers for 500 students.

• We've given resources for support and feed about 90 orphans.
• Thanks to our help, the school also organizes feeding of the poorest kids during the breaks between classes.

Some of the kids form the nearest villages, where there are no schools, has to walf for 40 kilometers on foot, to get to the loged-for school. Due to this enormous distances they often stay in the village after the school and stay with some kind people. It's necessary to organize some financial help for the poorest.

• • • Since we don't want our actions to be one-time only, we are planning on continuing achieving our goals supporting african students, both form secondary and primary school (about 1000 kids alltogether).
The needs are enormous, and we realize, there's a lot of work to be done in our country to acquire all the necessary assets. Nevertheless we believe, that our Beloved Father - God Almighty is the one who provides and with His help all things are possible.

Let us pray and let's bring it into action!

Tailor workshop

Burkina Faso, Namsiguya village

• We've founded the first tailor workshop.

While visiting our friends in Namsiguya we had the chance to see with our own eyes, that the finances we've sent for this purpose were very well used.
According to the project, an accommodation for workshop was finished and a roof was put over it, so that the work may continue regardless of the weather conditions, what was impossible during the rain season. During the dry season, on the other hand, many troubles were caused by the ubiquitous orange dust spread by the desert wind Harmatan).

• New sewing machines, as well as a solar collector, which is the only source of electric current in the neighbourhood, were also purchased.

6 new taylor craftsmen are currently employed in the new taylor workshop. There is also chance for a training for future tailors, including women.
New workplaces is currently the most pressing need in the village. It's so encouraging, that it's the local christians who is taking up the challenge to fight the poverty and the unbelievably difficult living conditions and it only increases our delight, that our input - although just a drop in the sea of needs - can help them acquire livelihood.
